Deep Time is a direct response to the question “How can we perceive the expansive timescales of our geological past?”
Geologic time itself equates to eternal change and progression, nearly incomprehensible in our organic lifetimes. Using reclaimed discarded watch parts interrupted in their perpetual recording of a person's personal passing of time, I then submerged them in a chemical solution to set in motion the growth of crystals on their surfaces signifying a continuation of time regardless of our comprehension.
